The Google Cultural Institute works to preserve and promote culture online. Their team of engineers has been working to build tools to tell the stories of our diverse cultural heritage. Their newest project is a multimedia archive of Nelson Mandela’s life and artifacts; some of which include, correspondence with family and friends, his diaries that were written during the years of his imprisonment, notes during his time as president, and much more. Google has digitally preserved thousands of documents, photos, and videos about Nelson Mandela. Google has done an amazing job in preserving the times and life of Nelson Mandela as well as making this information available to the globe. Teachers, how can you use this technology in your class to engage learning?
